Release 1.8.1 Stable
released this
2026-10-23 16:04:42 -04:00 | 0 commits to main since this releasev1.8.1 - Windows Update Fix
What's New in v1.8.1
This patch fixes the Windows self-updater, which could loop or stop before
finishing when the release zip had a top-level folder or the app was installed
in a protected location.🪟 Windows
- The updater now flattens a zip that contains a single top-level folder, so the
new build actually replaces the old one - If the install folder needs administrator rights, Windows now shows the UAC
prompt instead of failing silently - The update retries if a file is briefly locked, and logs failures to
%TEMP%\tapestry_update.log - The app relaunches in its install folder
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- Update paths are passed to the helper as JSON, not interpolated into the script
- Documented the Windows CMake cache reset after a rename

Release 1.8.0 Stable
released this
2026-10-23 15:37:53 -04:00 | 3 commits to main since this releasev1.8.0 - Tapestry, Fully
What's New in v1.8.0
This release completes the Tapestry rebrand — a new woven logo, the Keyworks
Technology publisher identity, and a consistenttapestryname across the
package, app ids, and every platform.🧵 A New Logo
- A woven grid of cream strands with an amber "today" strand, inside the cyan
ring, with floating cubes - Regenerated for every platform, including a maskable web icon and a
multi-size Windows .ico
🏷️ One Name Everywhere
- The Dart package, Linux app id, and local database are now
tapestry - Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux ids are
cloud.keyworks.tapestry - The login screen, About dialog, OS metadata, and README credit
Keyworks Technology
⚠️ Reinstall Required
- The app id changed from
cloud.sladertech.tapestryto
cloud.keyworks.tapestry, so the OS treats this as a new app - Uninstall the old build before installing this one; existing local settings
won't carry over
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- Icon generation samples past the tile bevel and uses a smoothed maskable
backdrop - Docs and the vault are updated to the Tapestry naming

Release 1.7.2 Stable
released this
2026-10-22 18:45:43 -04:00 | 10 commits to main since this releasev1.7.2 - Tapestry-Named Windows Build
What's New in v1.7.2
This patch renames the Windows build to Tapestry and closes the findings from a
fresh security review.🪟 Windows
- The executable is now tapestry.exe
- The release archive is now tapestry-windows.zip
- The version resource shows Tapestry and Keyworks Technology
🍎 Apple platforms
- The bundle name is now Tapestry
- iOS and macOS use the Sladertech bundle id (no more com.example)
- macOS builds can reach the network inside the sandbox
🔒 Security
- The session is never written to disk in plaintext: if the OS keychain is
unavailable, it stays in memory for the current run - The license control plane refuses to store a service-role key unless Vault is
available - Plaintext http:// is only allowed for a backend on the local network
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- The updater's temporary files use the tapestry prefix
- Remaining repo references in the docs point at tapestry

2026-10-22 11:46:49 -04:00 | 23 commits to main since this releasev1.7.0 - Meet Tapestry
What's New in v1.7.0
This release gives the app its new name — Tapestry — with the tagline "Many
threads. One view.", a brand-new app icon, and refreshed naming across every
platform.🧵 A New Name
- The app is now Tapestry — Many threads. One view.
- The app bar, About dialog, and login screen show the new name and tagline

Release 1.6.0 Stable
released this
2026-10-15 11:06:43 -04:00 | 34 commits to main since this releasev1.6.0 - A Modern Look
What's New in v1.6.0
This release gives the app a fresh, modern look — a new palette, roomier
card-style rows, rounder corners, and a cleaner typeface — with smoother motion
throughout.🎨 A Modern Look
- A new palette — cool slate with a sage-green accent — in both light and dark
- Analyst rows are now rounded cards, with a little breathing room between them
- Rounder corners across the app (cards, dialogs, buttons, and chips)
- A new typeface — Inter — with even-width digits so dates and counts line up
- Bigger, easier-to-hit buttons in the top-right and a roomier options menu
✨ Smoother Motion
- The task popover, panels, and rows now ease in instead of appearing instantly
- Analysts, users, and inbox lists cascade in gently instead of popping at once
🐛 Fixes
- Analyst rows are no longer clipped at the edges of the grid
- The options-menu text is readable again in light mode
- Cards now stand out clearly in dark mode instead of looking like bare lines
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- Added design tokens (corner radii and spacing) so cards, dialogs, and popovers
stay consistent - Bundled the Inter font with the app so it looks right on every machine
- Deepened the dark palette so cards and rows separate from the background
- TV mode scales text up for legibility from across the room
- Updated the docs, including the Command Center build-and-release flow

Release 1.5.1 Stable
released this
2026-10-13 21:10:53 -04:00 | 60 commits to main since this releasev1.5.1 - Security Hardening
What's New in v1.5.1
This release hardens the app's security across the database, the updater, and
sign-in. There are no new features — the goal is a safer app with the same
everyday experience.🔒 Security
- Updates are now verified with a signed signature before they install, so a
tampered or spoofed release can't run - Signed-out visitors can no longer read the schedule, tasks, or comments
- Comments are always attributed to the signed-in user — no more posting as
someone else - The user directory and activity history are now visible to supervisors only
- Your sign-in session is stored in the system keychain instead of a plain file
- Switching between servers now signs you out first, so you can't be silently
logged into another site - The master-server URL must be https
🐛 Fixes
- Update downloads are now bounded (a timeout and a size limit)
- The Windows updater no longer builds a shell command from a download's
filename
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- Hardened the license control plane: constant-time token checks, rate-limited
public endpoints, and per-site keys stored in Supabase Vault - Android release builds use a real signing key and no longer allow backups
- The web build ships a Content-Security-Policy
- Build-time downloads are checksum-verified
- Added a release helper (tool/release.sh) that signs and publishes artifacts

2026-10-13 12:49:10 -04:00 | 78 commits to main since this releasev1.5.0 - A Zen Look & Easier Setup
What's New in v1.5.0
This release gives the app a calmer, more natural look and makes setting up a
new site much quicker.🎨 A Zen Look
- A new calm palette — warm cream, sage, and forest greens — in both light and
dark themes - A light/dark toggle in the ⋮ options menu
- A fresh app icon
🖥️ Easier Setup
- Setting up a fresh Supabase is now a single paste: supabase_setup.sql bundles
every migration in order - The setup script is safe to re-run — it no longer fails if it's interrupted
partway - The first supervisor can now be promoted on a brand-new project
🐛 Fixes
- A fresh backend is no longer mistaken for an ended trial — it registers and
shows "Awaiting license" instead of locking the app
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- The trial check now tells an unknown site apart from a lapsed one
- Updated the developer guide, README, and tests

2026-10-12 16:11:42 -04:00 | 88 commits to main since this releasev1.4.0 - Host Detection for Site Setup
What's New in v1.4.0
This release makes setting up a site easier: the app now identifies the machine
that hosts the local Supabase (the site's "main"), so it can be picked when
adding a site.🖥️ Host Detection
- The app detects when it is running on the machine that hosts the local
Supabase — connecting over localhost, its own hostname, or one of its own IPs - That machine is flagged as the site's "main", so it can be selected when
setting up a site
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- The license control plane exposes the detected hosts for admin tools
- Updated the developer guide, licensing docs, and tests

2026-10-12 12:59:43 -04:00 | 93 commits to main since this releasev1.3.0 - Sites, Deployments & Machine Reporting
What's New in v1.3.0
This release adds the plumbing to see and manage where the app is running —
each machine reports itself, and separate deployments can be grouped under one
company "site".🏢 Sites & Deployments
- Connection settings now carry a Site name and Site id, so several labs
(each with its own local Supabase) can be grouped under one company - One license now covers the whole company, rather than each lab separately
🖥️ Machine Reporting
- The app detects its machine name and reports it, together with the signed-in
user, so a machine can be identified by name instead of "localhost" or an IP
🛠️ Technical Improvements
- The license control plane records machines ("seats") per site and deployment,
and lists them for admin tools - New admin API to read a single site's details
- Updated the developer guide, licensing docs, and tests
